CHOCOLATE FONDUE

 

This is an easy chocolate fondue for dessert.  You can dip any fresh fruit in this sauce.  We like straweberries, pineapples but you can also use something like marshmallows and waiver biscuits.

 

WHAT YOU NEED:

  • 180g Semi-sweet or bitter-sweet chocolate finely chopped
  • 60ml milk
  • 125ml fresh cream
  • 3 table spoons butter
  • pinch of salt
  • 2 1/2 table spoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence

 

DO THE FOLLOWING:

  1. Put the chocolate in a mixing bowel
  2. In a saucepan bring the following to a boil while stirring: Milk, Fresh Cream, Butter, Salt, Brown Sugar
  3. Just when it starts to simmer and foam up, remove from heat and pour over the chocolate
  4. Let it stand for 1 minute and then whisk slowly to get a smooth chocolate sauce
  5. Add the vanilla
  6. Pour in the Fondue pot and keep heated
  7. Dip your fruit or marsmallows in the chocolate sauce

 

TIP:

 

Instead of the vanilla, you can also add hazel nut liqueur or any other liqueur you like.
